For such a time as this...

Phionah Bogere

FARM STEW teams have always taught hand washing and had stations like the one below at each of our offices. We've installed tippy taps in thousands of homes.  I am so proud of our teams who are sharing the message of abundant life even in the midst of this hard time of COVID-19.

While following the WHO guidelines, our trainers are carefully informing people in the villages of the dangers and importance of all we have taught them before.  Your generosity and prayers make it possible.

Phionah's passion for helping her people is for such a time as this!

This week, our staff participated in a pre-planned Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Training in partnership with Water4, Freedom Drillers, and FARM STEW! This video has a complete description on how to do handwashing properly! Please share, this could save lives. (This was recorded before the regulations about social distancing.)

Because of the limited health care resources and lack of communication, our trainers are carefully informing people of the dangers of COVID-19 and the importance of all we have taught them before. We've equipped our trainers with the guide (below) that we adapted from CDC and WHO sources, adding our own part about helping your body fight disease.

Our trainers are printing, laminating, and sharing (safely) with the rural communities who truly have no information about what is going on. Your generosity and prayers make it possible. Thank you!!

I invite you to help make the work possible with your generous gifts even in these hard times. www.farmstew.org/donate

Finally, we continue to pray together for you and for those whom we serve. May we be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world’s most vulnerable, both here at home and in the hard-to-reach parts of our world.

May you have Christ's peace to guard your hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-7),

Quotes
"I am 14 years old, and I started my period this year. My first day I felt shy and I missed school... It is not easy to find pads in my village and the few here are very expensive to buy. These new pads are going to protect me when I am having my period. Since they are reusable, I am not going to worry anymore when my periods come!"
Pads

Freedom from Shame

Everyday thousands of African girls drop out of school. WHY? Their monthly cycle, period.  You can help these girls stay in school with washable cloth pads, panties and confidence for 15$ per girl.
Our goal is 5000 girls in 2020!
